Here I document my adventures in and out of the kitchen, where I am always on the “brink” of culinary greatness. Cooking and baking are my outlets for expressing creativity, reducing stress and just having good ol’ fashioned fun.

I have always loved to cook. At the age of 11, I bought my first pastry bag from Lechters. Nope, I’m not joking.  When I was in elementary school, I loved going to the library to check out new cookbooks. Sure, Fear Street and Goosebumps captured my attention, but the cake decorating and french cooking hardcovers had my heart. Over the years I have honed my craft and enjoy making just about anything from scratch.

I love desserts and occasionally like to indulge, but for the most part I try to eat clean. I frequently take risks in the kitchen, but I also believe there are no substitutes for a heaping bowl of steamed broccoli, a slice of white cake with vanilla buttercream,  a plain baked sweet potato, or a cup of smooth dark roast coffee.
